Leftover IdeasIdeas para sobras

Choose one of Mary’s original recipes and discover a creative way to transform the leftovers into something entirely new.

Modern Paris kitchen and a beautifully transformed dish

Paris, France

Listen: How to use Leftover Ideas

Start by opening "Leftover Ideas" and finding the box marked “Name of Original Recipe.” Type the name of the recipe you cooked, then select its title from the suggestions. Choose “Click to Find Leftover Recipe” and open the companion idea that appears. Read its ingredients and directions before you begin, because you may need a few additional ingredients. These are AI-generated companion ideas, not recipes I developed and tested myself. To look up another dish, choose “Clear Search” and select a different original recipe. Start with the original dish you made, rather than typing a general list of leftovers.

Positano, Italy

Listen: How to use What Can I Make?

Open "What Can I Make" and scroll to "Tell Me What You Have." Type an ingredient and choose" Add", then repeat for the other ingredients you want to use. You can also tap the ingredient shortcuts. Include your main protein, then choose "Find Mary's Recipes." Review the matches and anything you still need before opening a recipe. Recipe Box members can also use the refrigerator scanner: Add one full refrigerator photo and one close-up. Review the photo consent, and choose "Analyze My Kitchen." Check the identified ingredients before searching. A photo cannot tell whether food is fresh or safe, so check the food yourself.

On the result page, read the base recipe and the country-inspired changes underneath it before you start cooking. These AI-generated ideas have been reviewed and saved in advance, but they are separate from my personally developed and tested recipes. To explore another combination, return to "Fusion Lab" and change the dish or country.

Select the question closest to what is happening in your kitchen. Read "Do This Now" first, then "Why It Happened" and "Watch For", when those sections appear. For an ingredient change, look through the substitution questions too. These answers were prepared for the selected recipe, so choose the correct recipe before asking.
